He began his career with Manheim Township Police in 1987. He was highly decorated and was promoted through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant and in 2017 became the Police Chief. I’m so sorry for your loss. Tom was a great neighbor and Scout leader for me. Our family still talks about that time Tom helped Joey shovel our grandfather’s driveway. Just one of many instances of Tom being a loving and caring man. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Thomas was a decades long friend and I always had the highest respect for him.
His sense of community commitment and support was under appreciated by many.
I will miss him as the friend I didnt see often or get to talk to often, but that friend where we could just pick up where ever we left off before.
So sorry for your loss! I  know you made the best of his time and he loved and enjoyed it.

There is no escaping the fact that Tom was a man of consequence. The way he lived his life, his accomplishments, and his impacts upon those he met will indeed be his lasting legacy. I knew Tom as a police chief colleague and as a friend.  In any social setting or conversation Tom was always quick to talk about his wife Stephanie and his family. Tom was an advocate for professional policing and the advancement of the career he loved. We had many conversation about accreditation and the positive impacts of the commissions we were members of to advance police accreditation in Pennsylvania. Shortly after his diagnosis we met, and Tom disclosed his dire prognosis. I and many others observed as Tom faced his journey into the future with courage, a renewed dedication to the things that matter, and most of all with concern for those who surrounded him. While Tom will certainly be missed, he will never be forgotten. We are all better for having been included in his life.

As his first cousin, I loved my time visiting Tom and his beautiful family in PA. Over the years, I was lucky to visit Tom in several states. When he was in college, he wrote me great letters about college life. Tom was deeply devoted to serving his community and family and loved Stephanie and Joe and his parents beyond measure. I will forever miss you cousin. Love always, Lisa.

I was so sorry to learn of Chief Rudzinski’s passing.  During my service on the Police Commission in Manheim Township, I came to admire Tom greatly.  His Police Department was a model to be admired and replicated in other communities.  Serving with him was personally and professionally a most worthwhile experience.  His contributions to our community and our nation will be deeply missed but long remembered and appreciated.

I reached out to Tom, blindly, on a whim, twelve years ago to ask him questions about accreditation and how to achieve it.  We had never met, yet he was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help me.  I’ve since worked with him on numerous accreditation assessments over the years.  It was always a pleasure to see him. He was a good man and will be missed.  My condolences to his family.

Tom was a great man, Police Chief and friend.  He answered my 911 call when my husband George passed  away at home. I will never forget the look on his face when he entered my house and saw that it was us.  He also found my license plate when it fell off of my truck.  We had a few laughs over that.  The last time I saw him he gave me a big hug.  He will never be forgotten.  My prayers, thoughts and love are with his family.

Tom was an amazing family man and dedicated to his community. As his 1st cousin I remember many family trips either to visit us in California or us to them in Maryland although we were not in contact as much as I would of liked in our adult years I did get to spend time with him on a visit in the summer of 2022 with our cousins Lisa Bendino. He will be greatly missed and was loved by all his family. Heather Tobler MacLagan Murrieta, CA
