Donald B. Snyder, 76
December 08, 2023
Donald B. Snyder 76, of Lititz, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on December 8, 2023. Born to Warren and Kathryn Snyder on April 12, 1947, Donald led a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a passion for family. Donald earned a BA in Science of Horticulture at Penn State University. It was during his senior year that he met the love of his life, Nancy Snyder, with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage on November 22, 2023.
Known for his warm heart and friendly demeanor, Donald found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for agriculture and fresh produce began at Snyder Fruit Farm in Lititz, where he worked and cultivated a deep appreciation for nature. Subsequently, he dedicated 20 plus years of his career as a Salesman for Dutch Valley Bulk Foods.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Donald was a man of many interests. He took pleasure in the therapeutic strokes of paint by numbers, a hobby he generously shared with friends. His weekends were often spent cheering on his beloved Penn State football team, and he found equal joy in watching wrestling and basketball. Donald also enjoyed storytelling and loved to share facts about chickens. His zest for life, combined with a genuine love for those around him, created lasting memories for all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Family was the cornerstone of Donald’s life, and he cherished the moments spent with his wife, Nancy, and their daughter, Kim Snyder. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia Delong, wife of William, sister-in-law, Sylvia Snyder, wife of the late Carl Snyder, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hospice and Community Care, whose diligence and support brought comfort to Donald and the family during their time of need.
In honor of Donald B. Snyder’s life, a celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. May his memory continue to bring comfort and warmth to those who were touched by his remarkable presence.
