David Eugene Sweigart, 81

David Eugene Sweigart, 81, of Manheim, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Carl and Mildred Sweigart.

David worked many years as a truck driver for Aramark. He was a devoted member of Hubley Social Club, 7th Ward Club, The Germanian Band Club, and various others. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He liked golfing, always had a joke and a smile to give, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

David is survived by his significant other, Judy Lombardo, 5 sons: David Sweigart, Jr. (Luanne), Doug Sweigart (Stephanie), Steve, Keith, and Damon Sweigart; step-daughter, Theresa Yurista (Chris); 5 siblings: Ross Wangner, Carl Sweigart, Jr., Doris Martin, Faith Kelsey, and Dawn Fisher; 7 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Bill and sister Georgeanna.

Guests are invited to gather from 10-11 AM on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. There will be a memorial service beginning at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in David’s name to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

Very sorry to read of Dave’s passing.  I worked with him for many years at Snavely & Dosch.  He was a trusted and well like employee.  Always willing to lend a hand.  I sure he will be missed deeply.  My deepest consolences to all of his family.
