Carmen M. Catalano, 77

November 19, 2023

Carmen M. Catalano, 77, passed away on November 19, 2023 at Ephrata Community Hospital. She was born on April 28, 1946 in Comerio, Puerto Rico, to the late Monserrate Cosme and Carmen Rivera. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Catalano.

Carmen’s faith played a central role in her life. She attended Our Mother of Perpetual Health in Ephrata, finding solace and community in her religious beliefs. Carmen was not only devoted to her faith but also dedicated over 35 years of her life to the medical field as a medical assistant. She loved her profession, finding fulfillment in helping others and contributing to the well-being of those she served. Carmen had a talent for creating memories through photo albums. Her love for preserving moments extended to reading magazines, where she found inspiration and joy. Carmen enjoyed listening to the music of Johnny Cash and Elvis, finding comfort and entertainment in their timeless tunes. She appreciated the charm of old TV shows, which allowed her to reminisce about simpler times.

Carmen is survived by her son Brian, husband of Emma M. Garcia, of Leola, PA; Grandchildren: Timothy W. husband of Shatana of Florida, Emmanuel husband of Jesseiry of Lancaster and Emily M. of Leola; Great-Grandchildren: Jayden L., Zacharius and Caleb E and her brother Modesto of Puerto Rico as well as many nieces and nephews.
