Hetty E. Meck, 88

Hetty E. Meck, 88, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 at LGH. She was born in Lancaster City on Cabbage Hill to the late Calvin S. and Augusta (Kohler) Asper.

Hetty was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian R. Meck, in 1997.

She was a long time member of Historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church and volunteered with the St. Mary’s Mothers Club. She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School on Cabbage Hill.

Hetty was a member of the Knights of Columbus #867 Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary Millersville Post # 7294.

Hetty retired from RCA after 21 years in the Settling Department.

She is survived by a son, Robert A. Meck, husband of Sharon, of Lancaster, two daughters, Sister Constance Therese “Barbara” I.H.M. of Immaculata, PA, Adrienne M., wife of James Curcio, of Lancaster, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Hetty was preceded in death by five sisters, Anna Flick, Alice Fry, and Betty Blantz, Catherine McComsey, Ruth Stumpf, and two brothers, Dick Kohler and Calvin Asper

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10am at Historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church 119 S. Prince St. Lancaster, PA with The Rev. Pang J.S. Tcheou as Celebrant and The Rev. Leo Goodman III as Con-Celebrant. A viewing will be from 9-10am at the church. Final farewell and commendation will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hetty’s memory to Women’s Concern 616 N.
